Set Up Your Household
What parents do
- Create your free account at app.chorescorez.com
- Name your household and choose a pay cycle (weekly, bi-weekly, or custom)
- Invite your kids by entering their email — they'll get a link to join
- Optionally invite a co-parent who will have full management access
What kids experience
- Click the email invite link from a parent
- Create their own account linked to the household
- Start seeing their chore list immediately
Step 02
Create & Assign Chores
What parents do
- Build a library of chore templates: dishes, laundry, trash, etc.
- Set each chore as required (daily), rotation (shared), or bonus (optional earn)
- Assign recurring chores to specific kids — or let all kids see bonus chores
- Set a weight per chore to reflect how hard it is. The app calculates allowance value automatically.
- Optionally require photo proof before a chore can be submitted
What kids experience
- See their assigned chores for today as soon as they log in
- No setup needed — their list is ready automatically
Step 03
Kids Complete & Submit
What parents do
- Receive notifications when a chore is submitted for review
- Review with or without a photo, then approve or reject (with a note)
- See if a chore was passed to a sibling or claimed by one
What kids experience
- Check off chores as they complete them
- Submit a photo if required by the parent
- Pass a chore to a sibling if they don't want it (parent can track this)
- Claim unclaimed chores in the pool for extra credit
- Earn badges and build streaks automatically
Step 04
Review & Pay Out
What parents do
- At the end of the pay cycle, review the full payout breakdown per child
- See core chore earnings, bonus earnings, streak bonuses, and total
- Add a manual adjustment (positive or negative) if needed
- Approve to mark as paid, or deny with an explanation
What kids experience
- See exactly what they earned and why
- View their earnings history and chore history
- Track badges and streaks in their profile
